Ayesha Koome

Exercise Physiologist, Certified Athletic Therapist

BAET, CSEP-CEP, CAT(C), Klose training – Auxillary Cording certification

What is your background & training?

I graduated from Camosun College on Vancouver Island with a Bachelors of Athletic and Exercise Therapy. I have spent many hours in community programs for chronic disease management as well as on various sport fields with teams and athletes.

What inspired you to choose this career path?

Cancer has effected my life in big ways and getting into exercise oncology was my way helping fill a gap that I saw within the cancer care system.

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

I chose Treloar because of the team. At Treloar I get to work alongside and learn from the best.

What are you personally passionate about?

At work, I really enjoy working with breast cancer patients as well as patients that have undergone any sort of abdominal surgery. Those patients I specialize in and feel I make the most difference with. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy being outside, playing soccer and my spending time with my dog.
