Meet The Team | Office Manager Josh Gamble

My name is Josh Gamble, I’m operating as the Clinic Manager at Treloar Physiotherapy.  I was born and raised in a small town just outside of Edmonton, Alberta.  I grew up out in the country and always enjoyed outdoor activities like snowboarding, skateboarding and I spent a large portion of my youth on a dirt bike. In my grade 12 year my Dad got a job as the Director of an American International School in Cairo Egypt and when presented with the option of finishing my senior year in Alberta or doing it via correspondence after migrating to Egypt, I chose the latter. I spent 3 awesome years in Cairo that were difficult at first due to such a giant cultural divide but that ended up being a time we all look back very fondly on.  It gave me the opportunity to travel a ton being in such close proximity to so many other exotic countries so during that time I grew a lot and got to experience a myriad of different life experiences.

After coming home in 2003, I went to NAIT and studied Business Administration. I’ve always been a tinkerer and have been interested in gadgets and computers since I was young so after school I gravitated more towards IT related jobs.  I worked for IBM for years, before eventually finding a place very early on with one of Vancouver’s now most successful startup tech companies called BroadbandTV.  I spent 8 years there and really learned a ton and enjoyed the experience and rapid growth immensely.  After leaving BroadbandTV I wanted to learn more about computer programming and so I attended a very intensive 3-month Bootcamp course here in Vancouver.  Shortly after that I found this fantastic opportunity at TPC that was right in my wheelhouse and now I’m relishing the experience here among all these fantastic people!

Favorite part of the job?
I love all of the interactions that I have with the entire clinic being in such a central role.  It’s great to collaborate with such a wide variety of personalities.  I have always enjoyed taking on new challenges as well as finding ways to streamline things so being in this role affords me many opportunities to do just that.

What is your favourite thing to do out of the office?
I am big on getting outdoors and doing adventurous activities around Vancouver with my wife.  There’s never an end to the opportunities here so it’s always fun for us to be able to try out different things.  I love being close to the mountains for Snowboarding in the Winter and I’m also a big time Gamer/Modder and enjoy being on my PC whenever time permits.

What is your favourite way to break a sweat?
Just working out at the gym is probably my favorite. I enjoy weightlifting and doing cardio.  I also really like to get out on my mountain bike as much as possible.

What is your next travel destination?
I’ll be visiting Seoul, Korea very soon with my Wife who was born and raised there.  She’s very eager to show me around all her favorite places and it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit, so we’re both excited for that!

What's your favourite quote?
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Steak and Potatoes (like a true farm boy).
