What is your background & training?

While completing my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo, the co-operative program gave me opportunities to work as a student kinesiologist in multiple clinics. During my undergraduate degree, I also volunteered to be a teaching assistant in the anatomy lab and conducted a research project in the visuomotor neuroscience lab. Then, I completed my Master of Physiotherapy at UBC. Through my graduate degree, I gained a wide experience working with clients in post-operative orthopaedics, neurological rehabilitation, cardiac acute care, paediatric community health, and geriatric long-term care.

What inspired you to choose this career path?

I was inspired to pursue physiotherapy because of my passion for enhancing movement and my memorable interactions with clients. During my undergrad, I distinctly remember helping a client learn to walk again and that fueled a passion to study physiotherapy. I continue to be inspired when clients are empowered to achieve optimal performance and increased participation in active lifestyles. My goal is to walk alongside clients on their journey of healing towards better function and quality of life.

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

I was drawn to work at Treloar because of the commitment to continued education and dedication to client-centred care. I enjoy working with this incredible team of colleagues, who are passionate about learning and strive to provide excellent clinical care in a welcoming and supportive environment. There are also many opportunities to be involved in mentorship and to encourage each other to grow as clinicians.

What are you personally passionate about?

I personally enjoy a variety of sports, including skiing, snowboarding, ultimate frisbee, soccer, tennis, and badminton. I also love spending time outdoors hiking and camping. My other hobbies include travelling around the world, enjoying delicious food, and creating music on the guitar, drums, piano, and bass.
