Jasdeep Gill

Physiotherapist, Pelvic Floor Therapist

MPT, BHK, Pelvic Floor Therapy

What is your background & training?

I studied at the University of Victoria where I completed my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in psychology. After that, I completed my Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Upon completing my Masters degree, I continued my education by taking 3 Levels of pelvic health courses.

I am passionate about working with clients from all areas of pelvic rehabilitation including: bowel and bladder conditions, pelvic pain, prolapse, and pre-natal/post-partum care with a special interest in getting postpartum clients back to sport and activity.

What inspired you to choose this career path?

I have always wanted a career that I genuinely enjoyed doing and I can confidently say that I have found one. There are two factors that really inspired my choice in pursuing a career in physiotherapy:

Being active has always been a priority in my life. Playing sports has not only given me mental and physical health benefits, but it has also played a large role in my social life. I have made so many good friends from it along the way.

Learning about and studying human biology was always easy for me when I was younger because I was genuinely curious and enjoyed the subject matter. As I continued my education, my interest only grew. I chose physiotherapy because it is the perfect combination of what I love to learn and the lifestyle I want to live.

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

I choose to work at Treloar because of the inclusive atmosphere, the passion for pelvic health, and the mentorship they provide.

What are you personally passionate about?

Professionally, I am a big advocate of physical activity. Helping people get back to the activities they enjoy is always my priority. This is why I use a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, education and soft tissue work to help clients reach their movement-related goals.

Personally, I am very passionate about team sports. I have grown up playing competitive sports and it continues to be a very important part of my life. I love the competition and the drive it creates within me, but I also really enjoy being able to share the experience with friends. Travelling and camping are also two aspects of my life that I am really passionate about. Exploring and experiencing new things has always brought so much joy to my life.
