Matthew Ney

Physiotherapist

BHK, BScPT

What is your background & training?

I obtained a bachelor of kinesiology at UBC prior to completing my physiotherapy training on the sunny Gold Coast, Australia, at Bond University. I have a robust background in strength and conditioning as well as experience working with athletes at the university and professional levels.

What inspired you to choose this career path?

I chose to pursue physiotherapy as a career with the goal of promoting healthy and active lifestyles to the people in my community. My goals as a therapist are to give clients the guidance they need to optimize their movement and performance as well as to provide a deeper insight and understanding into the client’s specific issue.

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

Not only is the team at Treloar dedicated to providing excellent patient care, we are also devoted to providing a friendly and welcoming culture with a strong emphasis on continuing education and exceptional clinical skills.

What are you personally passionate about?

I aim to empower individuals by promoting self-efficacy and building confidence in movement with all of my clients. I am passionate about helping my clients reach their goals through implementing evidence-based interventions and building physical and mental resilience.

Personally, I am interested in road and mountain biking, swimming and hiking with my dog Matilda.
