What is your background & training?
I completed a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology with a Minor in Nutritional Sciences at UBC. Afterwards, I worked as a kinesiologist with clients that had been in car accidents before returning to UBC to complete my Master’s of Physical Therapy.
Following graduation from the MPT program, I have completed coursework in the STOTT Pilates Rehab series, Pelvic Health Solutions Level I on Female and Male Urinary Incontinence, and training with the Canadian Division of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
What inspired you to choose this career path?
As a dancer in my youth, I was drawn to the conditioning classes we took in order to improve our techniques. I have found that through physiotherapy I have been able to teach myself new skills to similarly optimize my performance in weightlifting and running.
Why do you choose to work at Treloar?
During my education, I recognized several therapists from Treloar who were and are very active as educators in courses, forums, and even in the Physical Therapy Department at UBC. This culture of ongoing advancement as a clinician and lifelong learning is something that aligns very well with my own values.
What are you personally passionate about?
I love being able to help individuals regain a sense of confidence in movement and returning to the activities that bring them joy.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy camping and hiking in any weather but above all just trying new things.
