Shreeya Chaturvedi
Physiotherapist
BKin, MPT
What is your background & training?
I completed my Master of Physical Therapy at Western University in London, Ontario, and my Bachelor of Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. In addition, I have completed my Level 1 and Level 2 Lower certifications through the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Program.
What inspired you to choose this career path?
I have always had a strong interest in sports, physical activity, and helping others, which naturally led me to pursue a career in physiotherapy. I became fascinated by how movement and exercise can optimize the body’s natural ability to heal and improve overall function. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to shadow physiotherapists in several different clinic settings, which further strengthened my passion for the profession. Seeing the meaningful impact physiotherapists can have on their patients’ recovery, confidence, and quality of life confirmed that this was the career path I wanted to pursue.
Why do you choose to work at Treloar?
What drew me to Treloar was the strong emphasis on mentorship and professional development. The clinic is committed to helping clinicians become well-rounded physiotherapists while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to every patient. I was also attracted to the supportive and collaborative environment, where team members are encouraged to learn from one another and continually grow their clinical skills. I believe this type of culture allows me to continue developing as a clinician while providing the best possible care to my patients.
What are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about helping people stay active and return to doing the activities they enjoy most. I enjoy continually expanding my clinical knowledge through continuing education and applying new evidence-based techniques to improve patient outcomes. I also have a strong interest in sports, fitness, and strength training, which helps me better understand the goals and challenges many of my patients face. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through exercise and spending time outdoors, as maintaining a healthy lifestyle is something I value both personally and professionally.
