Andrea Furlong

Physiotherapist, Concussion & Vestibular Rehabilitation

BSc PT, ACCDN, IMS

What is your background & training?

I completed by physiotherapy degree in my hometown at University College Dublin, Ireland. I started my physiotherapy career in Ireland and then decided to make the move to Canada in 2020. I have worked in a wide array of public and private settings in both Ireland and Canada, treating clients of varying ages and injuries. I have further certification in IMS dry needling, concussion and vestibular rehabilitation and clinical Pilates.

What inspired you to choose this career path?

I have always had a keen interest in sport which naturally led to me having my own fair share of injuries over the years, so I can empathise with the frustration that can go along with not being able to do what you love. I am passionate about meeting the rehabilitation needs of every individual that I work with and helping people get back to doing the activities they enjoy.

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

Treloar has an exceptional team of physiotherapists with a vast range of knowledge and experience. I was drawn to Treloar because of the many opportunities for continued education and growth and the friendly supportive environment in the clinic.

What are you personally passionate about?

Outside of work I love staying active and being outdoors – one of the very reasons I moved to Vancouver in the first place! When I am not in the clinic, you can find me running, hiking, competing in triathlons or skiing.
