COVID-19 FAQ
Thank you for booking an in-clinic appointment with Treloar Physiotherapy. We want to assure you that the health and safety of you and our staff are our number one priorities. We have invested considerable time and resources to developing policies and procedures for our patients and staff in order to keep everyone safe. Prior to arriving, we kindly ask that you read all of the FAQs below to prepare for your upcoming appointment.
If I have symptoms or test positive for COVID-19, what should I do?
You can manage your illness similar to how you manage other respiratory infections like influenza (flu). Stay home if you feel sick and take preventative measures to limit the spread of infection.
Please refer to the BC CDC COVID-19 guidelines on what to do if you have symptoms.
I’m feeling unwell. Do I cancel my appointment?
If you have a fever and feel unwell, you should stay home and isolate from others. If you are well enough, we are able to switch your session to a virtual appointment.
If you do not have a fever and feel well enough to return to regular activities, please keep your appointment.
What if I become sick within the 24-hr cancellation window?
We will still have our 24-hour cancellation policy in place with leniency toward illness-related circumstances. We will not charge anyone for a missed appointment who suddenly comes down with symptoms of an illness. We do ask anyone who is well enough to switch to a virtual appointment.
If I am still testing positive for COVID-19 but am asymptomatic, can I attend my physiotherapy session?
Yes! If you feel well enough to continue with your normal activities, you can proceed with your booked appointment.
What measures are put in place to ensure that the clinic is a safe environment?
Treloar Physiotherapy wants to reassure all patients that our clinic is a safe environment for all to attend. We have taken the following measures under the direction of all Provincial Regulatory Associations, Public Health, and the Chief Medical Officer:
- We have acquired all the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in protecting and preventing the spread of COVID-19.
- We have acquired all of our sanitization products that follow the Health Canada guidelines, which include but are not limited to hand sanitizers, hand wipes, and disinfecting products. Our clinics disinfect all patient-contact items between each patient use.
We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to continuing to support you on your wellness journey.
Please contact Treloar Cambie or Kerrisdale if you have any other questions!
