Physiotherapist

MPT, BSc

What is your background & training?

My background is rooted in a lifelong passion for baseball, both as a player and a coach. I began my collegiate career at Western Oklahoma State before returning to Ontario to complete my Master of Physical Therapy while playing for the University of Western Ontario. Juggling the demands of high-level athletics and rigorous academics helped me develop the time management and motivational strategies I share with my patients today.

Throughout my education, I spent my summers coaching elite baseball in my hometown of Ottawa. This experience allowed me to hone my ability to communicate with and motivate diverse personalities toward a common goal. Since becoming a physiotherapist, I have pursued specialized training at Driveline Baseball, a world-renowned biomechanics lab and performance center. This provided me with extensive expertise in baseball-specific training styles, load management, and specialized injury recovery that I apply to athletes of all levels.

What inspired you to choose this career path?

My inspiration stems from my own history with injuries as an athlete. Navigating those setbacks gave me a deep perspective on how physical limitations can impact mental health, and how all-encompassing chronic pain can feel. I chose this career because I want to be a steady hand for people during those difficult times—helping them find ways to stay engaged with the activities they love while we work together toward their recovery.

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

I chose Treloar because of the opportunity to work with such a wide spectrum of clients. I thrive on the challenge of helping athletes return to their sport stronger than ever, but I am equally passionate about sharing my love for movement with those who are just beginning their rehabilitation journey. Treloar’s facility is the ideal environment for this: it offers the perfect balance of private spaces for one-on-one care and a high-performance gym setup for active recovery.

What are you personally passionate about?

I am deeply passionate about making exercise accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages. I truly believe that physical activity is one of our best tools for managing the anxieties of daily life, while simultaneously improving our health, social connections, and long-term quality of life. If you’re curious about how to integrate movement into your routine—or just want to find the right type of exercise for your unique goals—I would love to help you find that path.
