Paige Phills

Physiotherapist

BHK, MPT

What is your background & training?

I completed my Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a specialization in Movement Science at the University of Windsor. I then earned my Master of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Western Ontario, where I gained experience in various areas including sport medicine and amputee rehabilitation.

Driven by my strong interest in sport and exercise medicine, I went on to complete a Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic. Over the course of that year, I accumulated over 500 field-side hours, engaged in multidisciplinary learning, and participated in weekly mentorship with FCAMPT and SEM graduates.

What inspired you to choose this career path?

My passion for sport physiotherapy began during my time as a varsity volleyball athlete, where my own injuries introduced me to the clinic setting. The exceptional care and support I received as a patient helped me realize the meaningful impact a physiotherapist can have, which ultimately inspired me to pursue this career.

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

I chose to work at Treloar because of their strong commitment to continuing education and mentorship. I admire their dedication to supporting the next generation of physiotherapists and fostering a culture of learning. It’s also incredibly important to me to work in an open and welcoming environment—and Treloar checks all of those boxes!

What are you personally passionate about?

I love participating in outdoor activities like hiking and biking! I also enjoy playing volleyball and look forward to involving myself in sport coverage here in Vancouver.
