What is your background & training?
I completed my B.Sc in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University with a certificate in Active Health and Rehabilitation. I then went on to complete my Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia in 2011.
Once practicing, I pursued the Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) in 2017. I am a Certified STOTT Rehab Pilates Instructor with training in all apparatus (Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrels) and have done training with Kinetacore to administer Dry Needling treatments.
I am an instructor with the National Orthopaedic Division and find great fulfillment teaching manual therapy techniques and fostering the clinical reasoning skills of my physiotherapy colleagues.
What inspired you to choose this career path?
I followed my curiosity and strengths. This led me to the sciences, to kinesiology and to physiotherapy.
Why do you choose to work at Treloar?
I was drawn to Treloar years ago for the mentorship and I never left! I love going to work and am thankful for the energy, expertise and support of my Treloar family every day.
What are you personally passionate about?
I really love getting outside in our beautiful corner of the world and try to carve out time to run, bike and hike! I also love an easy Sunday morning with my partner and kids.
