What is your background & training?
I completed a Bachelor of Kinesiology followed by a Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. I am also pursuing additional post-graduate training with the Canadian Division of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. I have completed STOTT matwork (Spinal, Pelvic and Scapular Stabilization; Peripheral Joint Stabilization), and the STOTT Rehab Reformer courses. I am still a certified Irish Dance Teacher (TCRG), and have a special interest in working with a broad range of dancers and all athletes.
What inspired you to choose this career path?
I am a born-and-raised Vancouverite and was for many years an Internationally-ranked, competitive Irish Dancer. My first encounter to physiotherapy was due to dance injuries, and it was through successive treatments that I experienced the powerful role that physiotherapists can play in someone’s life. This ignited a curiosity into the mechanics of human movement that turned into a passion and propelled me into a career in Physiotherapy.
Why do you choose to work at Treloar?
I love being part of a team! I was looking for a work environment that included incredible therapists, and a team environment where the therapists continually elevate each other’s practices. I have found exactly that at Treloar.
What are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about human movement, rehabilitation, and connecting with people; and I am committed to developing a balanced treatment strategy designed to help you overcome your challenges and meet your unique health, well-being, and performance goals!
I am an adventurer at heart and love exploring; in the summer you’ll find me surfing, hiking, or playing beach volleyball, and in the winter, I am either practicing yoga or in the mountains snow-shoeing!
