What is your background & training?
I graduated from the UBC Physiotherapy Department in 2003 and completed an Advanced Diploma to become a Fellow of the Canadian Association of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT) in 2009. I am certified to practice Medical Acupuncture and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).
I am a Past President of the Physiotherapy Association of BC (PABC). I also have experience on the PABC Board of Directors, PABC Business Affairs Council and Acupuncture Canada Council.
I have experience as an Instructor with the BC Orthopaedic Division and UBC Physiotherapy Department. I have also served as a Team Physiotherapist for UBC Thunderbirds Varsity Hockey.
I have a special interest in treating acute and complex spinal pain including the low back, mid back, and neck. I also have extensive experience treating lower leg injuries involving the hip, knee, ankle, and foot.
What inspired you to choose this career path?
A desire to help others, an interest in the human body, and a profession that seemed challenging yet fun.
