What is your background & training?

I obtained by Bachelor of Human Kinetics Degree from the University of Windsor. After moving to Vancouver, I completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training as well as my Group Fitness Instructor Certification. For many years I facilitated an Occupational Rehabilitation 1 Program and continue to work as a Return to Work Coordinator for WorkSafeBC. Currently I teach multiple yoga and HIIT classes weekly and offer private Personal Training sessions.

What inspired to choose this career path?

I grew up playing sports and taking ballet lessons and was always fascinated by movement and the human body. I loved the idea of having a career that kept me active and moving while helping others restore function, mobility and strength to improve their quality of life. I feel grateful to be working in a profession I love!

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

I was drawn to the various rehab programs Treloar had to offer and once I got to know the friendly staff, I knew this was the place I wanted to work. There is a diverse, multidisciplinary team at the clinic who work together to create a positive environment.

What are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about educating people within the community about how to live happier, healthier lives through activity and mindfulness. I believe life is about finding balance in all aspects, whether that’s between work and play, or strength and stretch. I love exploring new places, trying new foods, and meeting different people. Being at the beach, skiing in the winter, and time with family and friends restore my energy.
