Bike Fit Process
- Conducting a comprehensive review of your past and present injuries, biking history, training regimen, and overarching fit objectives.
- Performing a physical assessment to evaluate your overall mobility, flexibility, posture, and biomechanics while cycling on a trainer.
- Making adjustments to the bike including cleats and pedals, saddle, handlebars, and overall cockpit setup while recording body and bike measurements. In certain instances, recommendations for alterations to specific bike components may be suggested.
- Discussing specific physiotherapy exercises if deemed necessary, and potentially initiating a home exercise program with subsequent follow-up.
- The duration of the bike fit process typically spans around 90 minutes, contingent upon individual requirements.
Rates
- Initial Bike Fit (Road, mountain, and commuter bike fit) – $250
- 60 minute Subsequent Visit – $185
Please look into your own extended health insurance plan requirements as to whether or not you will need a doctor’s note for physiotherapy (usually not required). Because part of the bike fit includes components of a physiotherapy assessment and treatment, generally a portion of it may be covered.
