What is your background & training?

My undergraduate degree was in Human Kinetics at UBC, and I obtained my post-graduate Physiotherapy degree from the University of Toronto in 2001. My training focuses around the use of manual and manipulative therapy, dry-needling (Intramuscular stimulation/Acupuncture/Gokavi Transverse Technique) and specific and focused exercise techniques for injury prevention. I’ve worked with all populations during my career and have developed a clinical interest in working with complex shoulder dysfunctions.

What inspired you to choose this career path?

As a young athlete growing up, I had experienced many different injuries in the past, which were effectively treated by Physiotherapy. Creating meaningful relationships has always been one of my passions, and making those positive contributions to all the people you come in contact with on a daily basis always sounded appealing as a career.

Why do you choose to work at Treloar?

Being part of a dynamic, eclectic and diverse team of experienced, dedicated and passionate professionals inspired me to want to become the best that I can be as a Physiotherapist and also as a team leader.

What are you personally passionate about?

I really enjoy listening to people, hearing about their lives and then acting as a leader in coaching them through their challenges while helping them attain their short and long term goals!
