Do you work with TMJ?
We have many physiotherapists in our clinic who are Fellows of the Canadian Association of Manipulative Physiotherapists. This means they have passed a rigorous written and practical National Examination that allows them to manipulate. Included in the syllabus for this is the TMJ. Any of the FCAMP designated clinicians will be able to treat your TMJ although it may not be an area of specialty for them. This would be a good way for you to get started on treatment before you see your specialist. They will assess all the areas influencing the function of the TMJ including your neck. Their treatment will be based on the assessment findings and will be very specific to your problem. I hope this helps you with your decision.
