What is your background & training?
Prior to becoming a physiotherapist I completed a Bachelor degree in Human Kinetics (UBC) and worked as a fitness professional and in sport/recreation management. After completing my Masters degree in Physical Therapy, I have pursued coursework in Pelvic Health and Women’s Health, Clinical Pilates, Manual Therapy, IMS and Pain Science. My special interests are low back pain, chronic pain, women’s health, and pre-natal/post-partum care.
What inspired you to choose this career path?
Passion for health and wellness, desire to help others, and love of movement and physical activity. Personal experience recovering from a significant low back injury and success getting back to the physical activities that I love with the help of physiotherapy (specifically exercise rehab).
Why do you choose to work at Treloar?
Team Treloar: The amazing team of passionate, knowledgeable, like-minded and fun people.
What are you personally passionate about?
Helping people get back to the meaningful activities in their lives through education, manual therapy, IMS and most importantly movement.
Movement for me includes triathlon, hiking, strength training, spin classes and skiing. I also enjoy travelling, exploring nature, and developing meaningful relationships with family and friends.
My Personal Mission Statement:
“Fostering happiness and wellness through movement, exploration and human connection.”
